South Florida Peacock Bass 7-22-08

Fishing Miami for peacock bass in July has been superb. Today Luis Rojas and I landed 22 peacocks up to 6 lbs. in just a half-day of fishing. Luis caught this nice butterfly peacock bass at 6 lbs. He was usually mostly shiners while I caught my fish on artificial lures. Despite the summer thunderstorms we’ve had a great month with multiple days with peacocks over 5 lbs. and two days with fish over 6 lbs. and a 7 1/4 lb. monster.
